Rating: 5/5 This historic soda fountain on Beale Street is such a hidden gem right near The Peabody Hotel, perfect to stop by after watching the famous duck march. The whole space feels like stepping back to the early 1900s. Vintage wooden counter, old black-and-white photos of the original store hanging on the wall, and classic glassware everywhere—every corner is photo-worthy. The atmosphere is warm and full of old Memphis charm you can’t find at modern dessert shops. Their menu hits everything I was craving: old-fashioned sodas, creamy milkshakes, and house-made gelato. I ordered the chocolate-peanut butter malt shake, and it was thick, rich, and perfectly sweet. You can add malt for just 30 cents extra, totally worth it. The old-fashioned cherry soda was bright and refreshing, made with house syrups instead of artificial mixers. They also have hot fudge sundaes and single/double gelato scoops with affordable prices. The staff behind the counter are friendly and quick. The portions are generous for the cost, and there’s a nice little seating area to relax while you sip your drink. If you’re staying downtown Memphis and looking for retro soda, milkshakes, or ice cream, this spot is unbeatable. It’s not just a dessert shop—it’s a piece of local history. I’ll definitely come back on my next trip!

Our tour guide led us to believe this was an old General Syore with old period product. Instead it was selling old candy, T shirts, kitsch decor items. They also had a Soda Fountain. I didn't see much special.

The cutest store. Had a mix of the fun tourist gifts along with some toys and other goodies. Loved the milkshakes!

Awesome, hand- made shakes. Candy, gifts, a real Memphis iconic treasure. I also had a Latte which was delicious. The service was so friendly and authentic.
