    Superior quality, service and atmosphere at an incredibly reasonable price. We have been regulars here for years and they never disappoint. They have a solid menu that is complimented by monthly specials. The portions are generous and prepared with care. Our favorites are the Cajun shrimp appetizer and pork medallions, and we never miss the Icelandic cod when it’s a special (all pictured). Save room for ice cream. The only thing better than their sundaes are the milkshakes. Those come in the tin they are made in to scoop into your glass. All of this in a century-old former bank (sit upstairs - it’s roomy and beautiful) in the revived downtown Elgin Riverwalk area. You won’t be disappointed.

    This place is great. Great place for a first date. Food is higher end with a neat unique atmosphere. The staff is wonderful and positive with recommendations. I got the malt 12 Oz and it was served with the metal mix cup and the glass sundae cup. Quality was superb. I also got the appetizer of shrimp and bruschetta. Beautiful presentation and delicious to boot. Elgin is a hidden treasure. This place is a prefect example of that.

    Great place offering a surprisingly wide array of food. The variety of Schnitzel options was a treat. Prices are on par with the area, so higher than not. Still, the food was good and the antique decor was delightful.

    This place is awesome. Delicious food, large portions. Did not have room for a malt, but we will return. The cocktails were good as well as the service. Parking is on the street or parking garage a block away.
