Great product, great small local business, and great service every single time! It’s a happy place. Owner is doing it right, this ice cream shop runs perfectly even when he’s not there, that says a lot about what type of boss and business owner he is. Owner and his team care about the customer experience. When it’s busy during evenings/weekends, they have a system that’s casual but efficient. You don’t have to wait in a long line. They just know how to help you when you’re ready. And those cakes!! They are perfect! Batavia is lucky to have this place.

My family enjoys supporting small businesses any time we get the chance. My husband is diabetic and twice a month we treat ourselves to ice cream. Batavia Creamery is the only place we have found that offers no sugar added ice cream. Which is abdolutely a delight! It's a specialty option and so we know to call before making the drive, to make sure they have it and it's not sold out or not on the menu for that day. While we enjoy the flavor options offered the last few times we have called to check availability, the girls answering have been so put out to be asked and we are being made to feel like a bother when calling in. We understand how busy the shop gets and we have dismissed it quite often as just that, they're busy but I'm tired of being made to feel I'm a bother when I'm trying to patron your small business. Today, my husband was hung up on when he called to ask if there was no sugar added tonight. That was the final straw which leads to this not so great review! If you don't want diabetics calling or buying ice cream in your store, congrats, your message was received LOUD & CLEAR!

Was visiting Batavia for the first time and very impressed overall. Staff were friendly and helpful, ice cream was amazing and the scoop sizes were generous. The location was very interesting since it looks like it used to be a car-dependent strip mall then got upgraded into a nice walkable part of the downtown.

Stopped in today for some ice cream - the waffle bowl was fresh and AMAZING, the mango and lemon sorbets were outstanding! Also lovely location by the river, and lots of outdoor seating with shade. They have fridges full of the most beautiful ice cream cakes for those special occasions.
