    I don't usually believe in rating anything 5 stars, this ice cream was a delightful experience. The staff was very enthusiastic and suggested samples of several unique flavors. The waffle cones were fresh and homemade. The ice cream had an excellent mouth feel with the right amount of creaminess. The birch brittle was truly an inspired flavor and something I never would have known I liked without the encouragement of the staff. Definitely recommend going out of your way to visit.

    Delicious ice cream and friendly staff! We were in town for a short time and visited multiple times due to our love of ice cream. The young ladies working were super sweet and actually remembered us when we came back. Plus, the ice cream was creamy and delicious. My favorites were the peanut butter with peanut butter cups and lemon blueberry cheesecake, but you can’t go wrong with any of them.

    Big Dipper BY FAR has the BEST ice cream in the state! The staff is always SO friendly and kind and welcoming. I’m always very impressed by the young staffs politeness and service. The clean, fun family- friendly atmosphere has our family making it a tradition to get their ice cream together after all our summer hikes. I highly recommend their delicious homemade variety of flavors. I’ve never had one I didn’t like :)

    SOOO GOOD and so many flavors. I dig the decor/vibe and the staff is the nicest in all the land. I came here twice during my 1 week trip to AK. Highly recommend to anyone passing through.
