The Story
Bobbie's is a rite of passage for locals, known for its amazing soft-serve ice cream. Indulge in a hot fudge cake or a banana split, but skip the cone if you prefer. While they also offer burgers and hot dogs, the dairy treats are truly their claim to fame here.

Bobbie’s has some of the best soft serve I’ve ever had. I highly recommend a hot fudge cake or a banana split from here if you have someone to share with. They do not take cash so make sure you have a card or can pay with Apple Pay. Great family hangout!

Bobbie’s is a rite of passage for Nashvillians, a ‘50s style fast-food, walkup stand from yesteryear that draws long lines of eager customers. Serving a diverse menu of American classics from old-fashioned hamburgers and hot dogs to creative dairy treats, Bobbie’s has been in business since 1951. In fact, known as Harper’s Dairy Dip until 1986, this is the third oldest eatery on one of America’s longest roads (Highway 70) in continuous operation (fourth oldest overall). The good thing is that you’ll enjoy your experience, there is plenty of outdoor seating, and the service is always excellent

Get what they’re known for! The soft serve is amazing! I got a small swirl in a cone. The cone tasted like cardboard, but really enjoyed the soft serve! I also got a burger and it was average. The fries were fine. I would stick to the ice cream here, which is what they’re famous for!!

Recently stopped here for ice cream. It is a classic Nashville stop and it feels like its really relying on that nostalgic factor rather than maintaining good dessert. We didn't try anything but milk shakes and dessert. The soft serve wasn't very good, no bathrooms (out of order sign...), charging for water. It is like half of the restaurant wants to be old school (signs saying everything is made to order, older building, old furniture, 1950s atmosphere that takes you back in time) but then embracing these new policies like no cash. There is the nostalgia factor but the ice cream was just not
