The Story

The neon sign glowed like a friendly beacon, promising a taste of simpler times and good old-fashioned comfort. Inside, the air hummed with the joyful sizzle of burgers and the sweet scent of a freshly baked apple pie. With a classic hot dog piled high with fixings, it felt like stepping right into a cherished memory.

Bobo's was the place to be at dinnertime on this hot July weeknight. The high school-aged "carhops" were armed with old-fashioned order pads, #2 pencils, and smiling faces! There was not an open seat inside the restaurant. It didn't matter, I wanted to occupy one of the 14 or so drive-up stalls! I enjoyed an excellent experience of nostalgia of eating a truly old-fashioned steakburger with REAL cheese! No preformed or frozen meat patties here! Juicy, oh my!

This is definitely a gem in topeka. The atmosphere and vintage style is amazing. Food was great and fast. Owner was super nice and a pleasure to talk with.

Excellent server and not one disappointment in the food. Onion rings were some of the best I have had in my life, homemade root-beer was amazing, burgers are everything you want a drive in experience to provide. And then, the apple pie and satin freeze! My daughter described it like this "I have never been taken aback by a pie. This on did it." 10,000% recommend!

Delicious. Cute little diner that delivers on taste and service. Dining area is small but it adds to the charm. The only downside is that there does not seem to be any air conditioning so it was pretty warm in there. Overall a yummy, fun experience and we would eat there again.
