My husband and I went to Bratchers for a hotdog and milkshake. The glass covering the ice cream case looked liked it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The hotdog was definitely not a Nathan as advertised. It was a big disappointment and I would not recommend this place to eat.

I love this place, it’s easily the best place in Roanoke to get ice cream. I have been coming here since I’ve been a toddler. The owner of this establishment has genuinely watched me grow up. I’m in my 20s now. I moved away from the area and recently came back and the same owner still recognizes me after all these years - he’s a great guy and really deserves your business. All of his employees are also great. They have more flavors than a typical place that has Hersey’s ice cream. I’ve always enjoyed the raspberry, whitehouse cherry, and pumpkin when it’s in season. Went with friends after a nice sit down dinner. Hadn't been here since my son was around and dating probably ten or twelve years ago. We had such a wonderful time !! Still great tasting and like I remember !! Will have to bring the granddaughters here !!

Great flavor options and an extra homey atmosphere. Would love to see some owner specials, or originality maybe some new creations? Standard plastic chairs / tables. Seems to stay clean enough even with the influx of children. Perfect place for when the weather gets hot. We eat pho next door and always stop here for deserts! Service is nice and welcoming. Portions are generous. Grab an extra wet nap / napkin. Convenient stop right off 460 for a refreshing break from the heat.
