The Story
The checkered floors and soda fountain hum instantly wrapped you in a cozy, bygone era the moment you stepped inside. Each towering scoop of creamy goodness, piled high in a frosty glass, tasted like a sweet summer day from simpler times. It felt like a warm, familiar embrace, a perfect stop for a treat and a moment of pure, old-fashioned joy.

Love the quality of ice cream here. 5 stars on the ice cream itself! However, rating only as 3 stars given i am upset by the pricing on their various pre-packaged ice creams. 1.5 quart tubs (=3 pints) are reasonably priced at $9.49 each. Their pint size tubs, however, are $7.99 each!! So, 33% of the size of the larger 1.5 qt tubs but the price is 84% of the 1.5 qt sized tub (ie, I'd have to pay about $24 for 3 pints = 1.5 qts). They didn't have the flavor I wanted in 1.5qt size and they declined making one for me, so I left without buying any tubs at all. I don't live in the area but if I am anywhere close, I try to fit in a special stop here. Very disappointing.

Good quality ice cream! You can taste the freshness, and the scoops are modest. You're definitely paying for the quality of ice cream and for the vibe of the parlor. Feels like an old-time ice cream parlor for the modern era. Everyone loved their order which was a malted hot fudge shake, and two cookie doughs, one in a waffle bowl and the other in a fancy dish.

We had won a free ice cream sundae party. Everyone received two scoops of ice cream plus our table received five toppings. It was awesome. The staff was nice. The building was clean. The ice cream was good.
