⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — A must‑visit small‑town gem just west of Muncie I stopped at Cammack Station after visiting a friend in the hospital and met my cousin here for dinner — and honestly, this place is the definition of a small‑town treasure. The town of Cammack, Indiana is so small it doesn’t even have a stoplight, just a handful of houses and a grain operation, and if you blink while driving west out of Muncie on Jackson Street Pike, you might miss it entirely. But somehow this tiny community has a full‑blown tourist attraction that pulls people in from miles around. I ordered the pulled pork barbecue on Texas toast, fried pickle spears, and a soda. Everything was delicious — fresh, hot, and clearly made to order, which matches the restaurant’s reputation for old‑fashioned sandwiches and homemade items. The experience itself was fantastic. The servers were extremely friendly, upbeat, and honestly pretty cute in the way they dressed to rep the nostalgic theme of the place. The building itself is part of the charm. Cammack Station sits inside a historic 1931 brick building that originally housed Pete’s Grocery and a gas station before being converted into a restaurant in 2007 and expanded in 2009. The interior is packed with an eclectic collection of memorabilia — antiques, photos, vintage signs, and even old gas pumps that once worked. Some of the memorabilia spans from the 1940s through the 1970s, and the jukebox inside was once owned by Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield. The whole place is extremely well maintained and clean, inside and out. The staff calls out orders over the sound of oldies music, and the atmosphere feels like stepping back in time. Patrons were warm and friendly, and the vibe was exactly what you hope for in a nostalgic roadside stop. Whether you’re local or just passing through, this is absolutely worth the detour. A tiny town with no stoplight shouldn’t have a restaurant this good — but it does, and it’s a gem.

Discovered this on a trip and it was like a trip back in time. Very cute and great filling station atmosphere. The food was phenomenal! The frickle spears were the best ive ever had! My group is calling this our new tradition food spot to end our yearly trip. Will definitely be back to try their ice cream as we only had room for the burgers.

We are from Wisconsin and we came here last year on one of our stops and this year too. Food is insanely good. Get the loaded tots with bbq pulled pork! Everything I’ve had here was amazing. Staff is super friendly and fast. We had a line out the door and food was coming out fast. Ice cream is amazing. The owner is super nice. He loved seeing all the cars and the burnouts. The locals came out to watch some burnouts. Cops came and shut it down and told us to not do any more and we respected that and the community. We love it here. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more. Thank you to the owner and city for having us 🔥

This was our first visit and it was so fun! As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by an employee and told where to order and where to pick up food. All the staff was so friendly. The loaded cheese fries and raspberry rumble ice cream were delicious and I was thrilled to see red creme soda as a fountain pop option. I also had a classic hamburger. It was ok. My husband really liked his onion rings. The entire restaurant atmosphere is so cool. We loved looking at all the gas station and celebrity memorabilia. We will definitely come back!
