The Story

Beyond its pharmacy services, this establishment is noted for its charming lunch counter, a true neighborhood institution. While some customers have noted issues with prescription management, the old-fashioned charm and the presence of a classic lunch spot remain a draw for many.

Cannot keep track of my prescriptions. The doctor called in a year’s supply. They keep losing it and having to call again for a one month refill. Then I don’t even get the promised phone call when it’s ready for pickup. Happened again and again. The service has really declined from what it used to be. It’s convenient and I want to support a local business but you have to not lose my prescriptions.

A great modern pharmacy with old fashioned charm. They fill orders so quickly. The service is so much better than any national chain. Plus they still have a lunch counter, which is a neighborhood institution.

This pharmacy cannot keep track of prescriptions, its automated system does not properly track them, and it is generally poor at communicating. Twice now, I have gone to pick up prescriptions and was asked to pay full price because the medication is “popular.” I called my insurance company and learned that Charlesmeade Pharmacy never ran my insurance. The last time I went, I tried to explain that they had not run my insurance, but they insisted that I needed to pay full price. I asked why this had not been communicated to me beforehand, especially since I had spoken with someone on the phone
