The Story
Beyond its pharmacy services, this establishment is noted for its charming lunch counter, a true neighborhood institution. While some customers have noted issues with prescription management, the old-fashioned charm and the presence of a classic lunch spot remain a draw for many.

Cannot keep track of my prescriptions. The doctor called in a year’s supply. They keep losing it and having to call again for a one month refill. Then I don’t even get the promised phone call when it’s ready for pickup. Happened again and again. The service has really declined from what it used to be. It’s convenient and I want to support a local business but you have to not lose my prescriptions.

A great modern pharmacy with old fashioned charm. They fill orders so quickly. The service is so much better than any national chain. Plus they still have a lunch counter, which is a neighborhood institution.

I so wanted to like this pharmacy, but they are just unreliable and non-communicative. They've messed up pricing on prescriptions, have not reached out when there was a problem with a scrip sent to them, and will sometimes "forget" to call us when something is ready for pick up. Their hold system will also sometimes just end a call for no reason. Avoid them and go to a more reputable pharmacy Edit: I received a call from the owner after posting this review. I forget his name, but he was very polite and listened to me. Made no excuses or anything like that. Apologized for the issues we've fac

This pharmacy cannot keep track of prescriptions, its automated system does not properly track them, and it is generally poor at communicating. Twice now, I have gone to pick up prescriptions and was asked to pay full price because the medication is “popular.” I called my insurance company and learned that Charlesmeade Pharmacy never ran my insurance. The last time I went, I tried to explain that they had not run my insurance, but they insisted that I needed to pay full price. I asked why this had not been communicated to me beforehand, especially since I had spoken with someone on the phone
