The Story

The sweet scent of waffle cones and good times spilled right out onto the Eastsound street, drawing you into Clever Cow's bright, cozy embrace. Inside, checkered floors and spinning stools invited you to linger, making every scoop of creamy, homemade goodness taste like a perfect summer afternoon. It felt like stepping back to a simpler time, where every treat served was a little piece of pure, wholesome joy.

    Super cute place! Ice cream was delishes! We chose the sampler one and it was the perfect amount for 2! Super friendly staff as well

    Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had, and I’m a snob about ice cream. Came back two days in a row, the chocolate peanut butter ice cream in a. Waffle cone is unmatched. They offer pup cups too which I (and my dog) always appreciate. Friendly staff (person working Tuesday and Wednesday around 2pm was seriously the nicest!) locally made ice cream from Lopez island, you gotta stop here if you’re on orcas.

    5 stars for the London Fog flavor, but 1 star for the spoons. The ice cream is high quality and very firm, which is great, but the paper spoons they give you are completely useless against it. They just fold and collapse when you try to get a scoop. We even tried using the cone, but it was too fresh and breakable to work as a spoon. It’s a bit of a shame when the "tools" ruin the experience of such good ice cream. Edit: what's wrong with the classic good old little wooden spoon from most ice cream places?

    We're lucky to have Clever Cow in Eastsound! The ice cream is delicious, with a fantastic selection of creative seasonal flavors (the London Fog is to die for!). The team working behind the counter are always friendly and very patient. It's wonderful to see a local business giving our island kids the opportunity to learn, grow, and gain valuable work experience! No matter the occasion, Clever Cow is one of our favorite spots for a sweet treat, and it's ALWAYS worth the line! We'll definitely be back soon!
