⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Connecticut Gem “On the Quiet Side of Town” If you haven’t made the drive out to Collins Creamery yet, do yourself a favor and go. Tucked away on Powder Hill Farm in Enfield, this place is everything a New England ice cream stop should be — homemade, unhurried, and worth every mile. The ice cream is made right on site and you can taste it. The texture is rich, the flavors are fresh, and the rotating list of 20+ options means there’s always something new to try. I went with the Collins Compost (a must) and a scoop of sweet cream, and both were knockouts. If you can’t decide, the sampler is a great move — four scoops, all winners. But what really sets Collins apart is the experience. Picnic tables out front, cornfields stretching behind you, a working dairy farm just over the fence, and a couple of friendly farm cats wandering through to say hello. Bring the family, bring the dog, bring an appetite. The staff is genuinely welcoming and the line moves fast even when it’s busy. Family-owned since 1997 and still doing it right. This is the kind of place that reminds you why local matters. Five stars without hesitation

I come up to visit my family every year and we *have* to stop by Collin’s Creamery - it is so good. No visit to Connecticut is complete without stopping here!

This place is located at a nice farm and the drive to this place was really nice. The ice cream is good and the farm atmosphere adds to it. We did have the double chocolate and the strawberry stampede both were good and quantity was also good. They do have two cats that walk around and will play with you if you are a cat person.

Ice cream was okay. Mainly went here to get compost. We asked the workers at the ice cream window about how to get a truck load of it. They told us where to go, as we were reading the signs that said compost for sale and looking for a phone number that was no where to be found , we were approached by a kid and what seemed to be his mother, who were very rude and told us we were not supposed to be back there. We told them we were interested in compost that they had advertised when you pull in. She proceeded to tell us you put money in a mail box for bags. We wanted a truck load but how are we supposed to get it when we aren’t allowed back there ??? Don’t advertise compost for sale if you shoo customers away.
