It’s a cute, dog friendly ice cream shop, however, when I went, the worker serving the ice cream wasn’t friendly. She said we could only try two flavors which I found weird for an ice cream shop with unique flavors. My ice cream was okay, but I ended up choosing a safe choice because I didn’t get to try options before being told I had to select something.

The ice cream was not bad, but they have a weird two sample rule. It seems like management is pushing the employees to only allow two flavor samples per customer. I can’t imagine going to Jeni’s ice cream and telling me I can only try two flavors. You could tell this is extremely awkward for the staff to enforce too. If the owners are broke just say that. Stop making these employees enforce these weird and tacky rules. Hats off to the employee at the counter though. He was very friendly and professional with the uncomfortable “you can only have two samples” convo.

This is our local ice cream shop. It's fine. What gets my goat is that they have several soft serve options prominently displayed on the menu, including things like chocolate-dipped cones and Lucky Charms toppings, and they never — and I mean *never* — have them available. Bias aside (chocolate-dipped soft serve is objectively elite), it's pretty ridiculous to keep advertising menu items that customers can never actually order. I've stopped in at different times, on different days, over the course of several years, and the answer is always the same: unavailable. At some point, either make the items you're advertising or take them off the menu. Sheesh.

Such a weird vibe and atmosphere. Don't waste your time at all. Absolutely nothing special about the icecream and so overpriced. Staff isn't friendly and I would never have ice cream here even if it was the only place in Chicago
