This ice cream shop has quickly become one of our family’s favorite weekend stops because everything tastes fresh and homemade. The flavors are rich without being overly sweet, and there’s a good mix of classic favorites alongside more creative seasonal options. Compared to chain dessert shops nearby, the texture and quality here stand out immediately after the first bite. The staff is cheerful and patient even when the line gets long, especially with younger kids trying to decide between flavors. The shop itself feels clean, bright, and fun, making the overall experience just as enjoyable as the desserts themselves.

I’m really disappointed with my experience at Creole Creamery in Lakeview tonight. I ordered two chocolate malts and specifically asked for them to be extra thick, because nothing is worse than paying for a milkshake and getting something that’s basically just milk. The employee took my order, and I even repeated the “extra thick” request clearly. When I got back to my car and took a sip, both malts were completely runny—thin, watery, and honestly pretty gross. Not even close to what I ordered. For a place that charges around $25 for two shakes, that’s just unacceptable. I don’t mind paying premium prices, but only if the quality matches—and this absolutely didn’t. To make matters worse, it felt like the staff was more focused on closing up than helping customers, even though there was still a line. I understand wanting to get out on time, but when you still have people waiting, customer service should come first. It came off as unprofessional and rushed. This place used to have great malts, which makes this even more frustrating. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be coming back. If you’re going to charge high prices, you need to deliver a consistent, quality product—and tonight, they clearly missed the mark.

Amazing ice cream place! This place closes at 10pm, fairly late for a late night sweet treat. There's free street parking and a few 30 min parking slots right in front of their door. Their menu is extensive for an ice cream shop, including coffee and affogato. I also like their variety of relatively unique ice cream flavors. I tried black and gold crunch but that just tasted like vanilla. I wound up getting half a scoop of honey and pandan leaf and half a scoop of lavender honey. Both flavors tasted amazing!! The lavender honey really suited my tastes, and both had a strong sweet flavor. It was just like the floral scent.

Creole Creamery is ice cream paradise! They have everything, traditional flavors, unorthodox flavors, special concoctions of sundaes, and affogatos. Creole Creamery has the ice cream for you, whoever you are. The service is always great and the place is always busy with guests because it’s so good. I recommend the peanut butter fudge pie ice cream 😋
