The Story

The sweet scent of sugar and childhood memories drifted onto Mt Rushmore Road, pulling folks right through the friendly door. Inside, colorful candies stacked high in glistening jars created a rainbow of delight, promising a joyful pick for every sweet tooth. Leaving with a paper bag full of treasures, the taste of small-town happiness lingered long after the last bite.

This is a fabulous family owned candy shop. The large majority of the WONDERFUL chocolate items are made on site. The peanut brittle is “stretched” as it should be to create nice thinner pieces. We enjoyed the chocolate so much we came for more the next day to take with us. A wonderful shop in Custer, SD!

This candy shop is on my chocolate route must haves here in Custer. You really should try the coconut pecan drizzled brittle. One of my all time favorite is the salted Carmel. My chocolate dates with Tim is a special treat and if you ask Tim he never saw a peanut butter cup he didnt like! ;)

We had salted caramel, huckleberry, peanut butter and chai truffles, chocolate covered cherries, mint fudge, fruit slices and taffy. All were wonderful. The BEST was the dark chocolate covered apricots and the Dubai strawberry cup. I actually went back and purchased apricots to freeze and take home.

I was craving huckleberry ice cream, and this was the only place that had it. I absolutely loved it—the flavor was a perfect balance of mild berry and creamy ice cream. The staff was also very friendly.
