I decided I wanted ice cream for lunch today, so naturally I went to The Daily Scoop. When I arrived, there was a line...which is not unusual as this place is so good...and one poor girl running the place on her own. I don't know why she was by herself during what would be a busy weekend day BUT I will say she absolutely rocked it! She never once looked or acted flustered. Everyone got exceptional service with a smile and her steady calmness. And this was after dealing with a disgruntled customer over an ice cream cake issue that she clearly was trying to go above and beyond to rectify. To the owner/manager of our favorite ice cream shop, The Daily Scoop - Give this girl a raise! Double or triple her tips for the day or something. She deserves something extra. Not everyone can perform so well under pressure and she is young but she did great. This is just another reason why we love this place and highly recommend it, and not just because of the absolutely delicious ice cream! The staff always makes for a great experience and today was no exception.

EDIT: Owner/manager responded to let me know they were just out of stock the day we went. Thank you for letting us know! I would make sure your staff know to tell people you're just out that day, not that you no longer carry them to avoid any further confusion. Thank you again for the reply, and we will come visit again soon. One of the only places that had gluten free ice cream cones...and they stopped carrying serving them. Really disappointing.

This place is pretty great, so many flavors that are always rotating. Similar price to Haggen Daz and equivalent if not higher quality. They are also not stingy with their servings, your cup will overflowith. Being able to get multiple flavors in a pint or quart is also great for those frozen by indecision. I recommend the flavors: Cookie Monster, Curious George, Oreo Cheesecake, and Carrot Cake.
