Inside, the air is thick with the scent of syrup and good company, beckoning you to slide onto a stool and stay a while. Every scoop and swirl from behind the counter promises a delightful treat, just like stepping back into a favorite memory.

An interesting drugstore; keeping what was common in the past in the present, adding modern twists but still having the olden twist, its been in business so long(from what i seen its been there since 1911) that I would practically like to say its a museum as well. If you're a historical buff I would definitely say this location is worth the visit you wont be disappointed. The locations soda/ice-cream bar, with its famous whirla-whip(putting into context as it was explained to me, its an improved blizzard) the whirla-whip has many different combinations; so many that I wish I hadn't rushed to pick the flavors i chose: Maraschino cherry, raspberry, and coffee, with a chocolate base. It tasted fantastic, but after taking another glance of the menu I so would of loved to choose: Pickles, bacon bits, and reeses with a chocolate ice cream base, this will be my next order. I will definitely be going back again even if its over 70 miles away from where I am. The staff are very polite and just makes you wish that this could be the standard of all pharmacies.

Not just a drug store! The variety of seasonal gift ideas, everyday essentials, decorations, and an ice cream shop, known for a famous treat, makes this a stop worth making. The staff here is fantastic—there's nothing better than a hometown business that treats you like family, even if you're a stranger. While living in Stanley temporarily, I chose this pharmacy for its convenience, a choice I could not be happier with. Thank you to the staff at Dakota Drug for your heartfelt service. P.S. I truly appreciate all you warm, friendly service while I was in Stanley. Perhaps we will meet again.

Great little drug store that feels like you’re going back in time. Obviously come for the WhirlaWhip, stay for the friendly service and old medicines in the glass case.
