I have been dreaming of a "REAL" banana split for months! Hubby in I had business in Girard today so we knew where we had to go!! He had the chicken salad sandwich on toast and I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich for supper.....then for the real reason we came! We both had banana splits! If you haven't been here, you are missing out! Our waitress, Addison, is a doll and very sweet! Come on out and get your Kiks on Route 66 in Girard Illinois at Docs!❤️

Had it not been for the Route 66 passport booklet, we would have never discovered this little gem. I got a milkshake that was delicious and very reasonably priced. The made from scratch sodas are delicious as well. We definitely recommend checking this place out. The employees were super friendly as well. We enjoyed the old timey decor as well.

We stopped in here along our trip to collect route 66 stamps, the place looks neat, clean and nostalgic. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the people in the community didnt look or act so very welcoming. For what we gathered at other stops. This is the place to be, we didnt spend long here but we would like to stop here again and give it a try.
