Took the back roads through Kansas and came upon this store. It’s so delightful. I see people in the reviews complaining about food prices but they’re not Walmart with a big buying power. They are a small family business trying to help this community survive. Please stop and support them if you’re in the area. The staff was so friendly, and the ice cream was extremely good.

Easily the coolest store I've stepped foot in this year. Building is gorgeous, staff is great and the selection of items is ridiculously awesome in range. What other small town market can you walk around shopping for gnocchi and sustainably caught seafood while eating an ice cream cone served from behind the counter of a real, live drugstore soda fountain?

Shop local! Support family owned businesses! Family Market and Batson's Drug Store is a perfect small town grocery and drug store. Worth a stop to see the building and the old time soda fountain. Wonderful selection of fresh meat at the butcher counter!
