  My wife, my youngest son, & I were visiting our oldest son this week. We flew in from Texas. One of the places my son raved and raved about was Fanci Freez. He said I absolutely had to try the huckleberry burger with blue cheese. It sounded great to me as I have had similar in Texas. He was also telling us about the finger steaks. Which honestly, we were a bit confused at first. You mean steak fingers right? He said they’re a little different than the steak fingers we would get back home. First of all right out of the gate, we order, we pay, we sit down. Something was bothering us and we looked over the receipt and noticed that the cashier didn’t ring up two of the kids meals we ordered. It was a bit of an annoyance, but it was an easy fix. My son and I both get the huckleberry burger and my wife gets the finger steaks. I bite into the burger and it was so dry, it was like biting into a hamburger hockey puck. You would think that the minimal amount huckleberry jam would help with the dryness, but alas, it do not. We took the finger steaks out of the bad and they were so over cooked, like the burger, so dry. With the look of the fry on the finger steaks as the fries, it was either old grease or too hot (or both). Either way, they were not finished. As they were so bitter and the burned char flavor as well as the dryness of the steak, just make it unappetizing. As we are leaving in a few days, a return visit is not in the cards for us, but who knows when we come back. But maybe you will have a different experience. I hope you do, ax they did have a steady flow of customers. Yes, they were just getting ice cream. So maybe that was our mistake. We did get ice cream, and that was great.

  Ordered 2 of the finger steak meals and ask for cocktail sauce in the drive thru. Confirmed with the girl at the window it came with fries and that they had cocktail sauce. Get home. No cocktail sauce and they forgot one of the fries with the meals. I called and was told my only option was to drive back and pick up the sauce and missing food! This is only annoying because this has happened more than once lately.

  The staff that works here are so friendly and willing to accommodate with anything. Love the fries and if you want a good milkshake with all kinds of different flavors, choose fanci freeze. I had the double cheeseburger which was good but you need to add some sauce to it. Fries are excellent in my opinion!

  I never thought I'd say this, but I'll have to ask for a Thinner milkshake next time. Every flavor I have tried was amazing, but they are so thick as to require a spoon. I buy milkshakes to be portable ice cream but even though these are served with Boba straws I actually hurt my mouth and split the straw trying to get some of the shake into my mouth. So buyer beware! Their milkshakes may not be very on-the-go friendly but they sure do taste good!
