Fat Batter is pure joy in a pint. From the first bite you can tell it’s made with love and real ingredients. Most ice cream shops around here all taste the same because they use that Royal Crest base, but this is completely different. It’s creamy, rich, and just bursting with flavor that feels homemade in the best way. The Campfire Cocoa is unreal. It actually tastes like sitting by a campfire with toasted marshmallows and chocolate melting together, and those homemade cookie chunks take it over the top. You Say It’s Your Birthday might be even better, packed with soft cake pieces and sweet little bursts of confetti crunch. Every bite has something exciting going on. This is the kind of ice cream that makes you smile before you even finish your first spoonful. You can taste the care, the creativity, and the fun in every scoop. Five stars without hesitation.

I'm honestly not an ice cream person... or at least I wasn't until I found Fat Batter. The first time I took my son there, my immediate thought was, "What kind of voodoo is this?" 😂 The ice cream was unlike anything I'd ever tasted. It's impossibly creamy, perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and somehow just... blissful. The only way I can describe it is that it tastes like what I'd imagine ice cream in heaven would taste like. Then I got to know the family who owns Fat Batter, and somehow they exceeded the ice cream. They are some of the kindest, most welcoming, professional, and genuinely wonderful people you'll ever meet. They've created something so much bigger than an ice cream shop—they've created a community. (And of course, I have to mention their amazing dogs, Thea and Thor, who is part of the charm too!) Sometimes I stop by even when I'm not planning to get ice cream because I love the atmosphere. It's one of those rare places where neighbors strike up conversations, visitors become regulars, and everyone feels welcome. They also use organic sugar, and I truly think it makes a difference. The flavors are incredibly clean, rich, and never overpoweringly sweet. My favorites? Pistachio Crunch, Lavender Haze, Gooey James Brownie, Pistoffee (the pistachio ice cream with the best toffee I've ever tasted), Banana Bourbon, and Bourbon Pecan. Honestly, I've never had a flavor I didn't love. Hence the quandary, I find myself in when I frequent Fat Batter far too often. One of the coolest things they offer is what they creatively call an “ice cream flight”—six different flavors served in an egg carton so you can sample a little of everything. It's genius and perfect if you're as indecisive as I am! They also sell pints, but they're limited to whichever flavors are available at the time. My advice? Do yourself a favor and order a double scoop in one of their homemade waffle cones. You can thank me later. If you live nearby, you're dang lucky. If you don't, it's absolutely worth the drive. Fat Batter isn't just my favorite ice cream shop—it's one of my favorite places, period. ❤️

Ice cream was very delicious. It's completely made and you can taste the natural ingredients. They offer pints and scoops. Everything is hand made. The yuzu juju ice cream and the sweet caroline ice cream were amazing. They offer a variety of other flavors that are worth trying! The staff were kind and friendly.
