I loved their ice cream selection. I got the banana fosters and it was rich and creamy. It tasted like real bananas which I appreciate. I would say the ice cream scoop is a little smaller than the size they have on display.

Top quality ice cream and fun experience! There was a line outside for good reason. We researched best ice cream in Portland before coming and 50 licks was on the list. It did not disappoint! We tried a lot of the flavors and ended up getting the chocolate a f, the chocolate coconut caramel, lemon coconut saffron, and mango sticky rice. They were amazing!! They actually tasted like the flavors they’re made of and the dairy free options were very tasty. Go to 50 licks when you come to Portland! We place it on the same tier as Salt and Straw if not a little higher for the dairy free options!

This was my first time visiting Fifty Licks after hearing great things about their Bananas Foster and Mango Sticky Rice flavors. I arrived just a few minutes after opening because I didn’t want to take up too much of the shopkeeper’s time if it got busy. She was kind enough to let me sample everything I asked for, and I never felt rushed. The Lavender Salted Caramel and Oregon Strawberry quickly became my top picks. The atmosphere was calm and genuinely welcoming — not rushed or harsh. The ice cream itself is great, and I really appreciate that they source local ingredients for their creative flavors. 😌 As a longtime Salt & Straw Honey Lavender fan, the Lavender Salted Caramel hit a sweet spot (no pun intended), with deeper flavor and a satisfying saltiness. I often find lavender ice creams too subtle, but this one has a bold, delicious floral punch. I also usually avoid strawberry ice cream because it’s often overly sweet, but their Oregon Strawberry has a refreshingly tart edge that balances it beautifully — and it is delicious. 🍓 I took home two pints (Lavender Salted Caramel and Oregon Strawberry), and they’re already half gone. 😅
