The Story

Middleburgh's Railroad Avenue hides a tiny fountain done up in checkerboard and chrome, where the owners mix phosphates and floats for hikers coming off the Long Path. Small town, big sundaes.

Awesome find on our way home from Cooperstown! The place brings you into a time capsule. Great for kids and super for treats. The dirty sodas on the menu and milkshakes make this a multi-visit type place. Highly recommend the buffalo wrap. Flavorful, light and textured. I really enjoyed it. The boys scarfed down the dogs. Less eating, more like inhaling. The owner was remarkably friendly and kind. Let's just hope he doesn't stick his hand in a hedge trimmer again. 😂. (Sorry, I had to add that in, great story) There was another person cooking and helping. She was super fast and friendly. Overall, amazing find! Highly recommend.

What an incredible place! The shakes are delicious, the food is great, and the overall selection is phenomenal! Ms Lisa and the staff are the stars of the show. Her dedication to the community and its' kids are unmatched. Visited on 03/08 and the place was packed - there was a 20kid birthday party and the shoppe was full. The vibes are high and full of fun and laughter. Kids running around and having the times of their lives! This is a spot you will certainly NOT forget!

Great little family run shoppe! Lisa and Glen were kind, warm, welcoming, and doing their absolute best to keep up with an onslaught of customers (20 at once). For such a small operation they were doing very well. My wife and I stopped in from Clifton Park and it was well worth the drive. The candy shoppe offering, fresh bakery items (small but tasty looking selection), soda jerk station and dozens of milkshakes are unique to this area of New York. We both had some chili dogs (delicious chili on a decent dog), she had a Blue raspberry soda and I had a cherry cola. The custom fountain drinks were perfection and our s'mores inside shake and reeses strawberry milkshake were a great close. Definitely recommed a stop in. Next time we'll have to be sure to partake in some pinball action.
