1st time visiting a Freshie’s and we enjoyed it! They have plenty of flavor options in hand scooped ice cream. We had the warm brownie and turtle sundaes. The atmosphere was very nostalgic. Definitely worth a visit while in the area!

I've been here plenty of times. I took my friends here tonight and remembered I hadn't written a review for it!!! Freshie's is an absolute GEM for its flavors, atmosphere, and the kind workers. For people in the 40515 zip code, it's honestly great exercise to walk around the neighborhood... then swing into Freshie's and grab something nice and cool before walking back home. Great place overall! Whether you dine in or pick it up through the drive-thru, the workers are always very kind and vivacious regardless. The ice-cream selection of flavors isn't entirely shown based on what they have behind the glass---if you want something dairy-free (or just flavors other than are displayed), you can check out the drive-thru menu, remember the name of the flavors, and inquire about it inside. As an eager Freshie's customer, I LOVE taking my friends here. While the workers occasionally make mistakes (let's be real, we're all human), they're always readily willing to fix the order with a replacement cup/cone with no extra charge. Best place for hangouts for kiddos, teens, and adults alike!! Highly recommend for birthdays, before concerts, starting a road trip, events, and get-togethers! Heck, I'd even recommend this place for a youth group outing. All in all, if you want really darn good ice cream, drop on by Freshie's, and I'll be here waiting. :)

They have so many delightful flavors to choose from and any outstanding amount of options for how you can enjoy your ice cream. The roasted and salted pecans were INCREDIBLY FRESH!!!! 10 OUT OF 10 RECOMMEND

With all due respects, I don’t think management anticipated or wasn’t aware that a gorgeous day and a car meet in their parking lot would bring more customers through their door but it did. I have a Mustang Cobra, so me and my daughter drove it down to be amongst the meet, and got to have our 1st ice cream together at Freshies….it was really good! As a business owner here in Lexington for over 25 yrs, I want to thank and commend how the employees handled themselves with calm and composure with a line of people I’m certain was a much bigger line than usual, and one had to deal with a grumpy/rude old man speaking nonsense, I almost wanted to speak up for her, but, she handled it very well, so I let it go. I over heard one girl say when help/relief walked through the door, she exclaimed she stayed late because it was so nonstop busy to back up the one other girl there. Then so politely to her relief, she said, “ but I didn’t mind, we are just so glad you’re here.” You all did a great job ladies under pressure, just know someone out here seen and appreciated the way u handled things, 2 people was not enough for such an event, much less just one.
