Nothing better than chocolate and ice cream. But when you add whipped cream and a cherry on top, you have nothing to lose. Had a delicious hot fudge sundae was not disappointed. I’m only sad that I hadn’t discovered Ghirardelli’s in Chicago sooner. Friendly. Fast service. Orders can be placed on first floor or second floor. Fun experience for any age.

The ultimate stop for chocolate lovers! If you are anywhere near the Magnificent Mile, you have to stop here. The smell of fresh waffle cones and chocolate hits you the second you walk through the door. I ordered the World-Famous Hot Fudge Sundae, and it did not disappoint—the warm, rich hot fudge makes it. It's definitely a massive portion, so it's perfect for sharing. Plus, getting a free chocolate square at the entrance is a wonderful touch! 5/5 stars. This Ghirardelli shop is a must-visit when exploring downtown Chicago. The space is bright, clean, and beautifully set up with an amazing selection of chocolates to take home as gifts. The ice cream sundae menu is huge, and everything we tried was delicious. It can get pretty busy with lines out the door during peak weekend hours, but the staff works incredibly fast to get everyone served. It’s a perfect sweet treat stop for families. Absolutely loved stopping by here after a long day of walking around Chicago. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and the toppings are top-tier. Even when the line looks long, it moves quickly. Grab a sundae, pick up a few bags of their custom chocolate squares, and enjoy the classic Ghirardelli experience. Highly recommended!

Go for the chocolate pieces. The ice cream? Highly left to be desired. 😂 I LOVE a creamy vanilla-base ice cream, and this tasted like basic vanilla ice cream from the school cafeteria… smh. The chocolate fudge, however, was actually really good. If the price were right, I could maybe justify it, but at $17 for a regular-size cup and around $15 for the mini, I’d rather spend my money at another local dessert spot. My suggestion? Stick with other local dessert places like JoJo’s ShakeBAR or Amorino. You’ll get a better dessert experience for your money.
