    What a sweet little gem in downtown Golden! I loved the old time ice cream shop feel and the many different flavor offerings. The ice cream was delicious and the kids enjoyed checking out the fun candy while we were waiting. They have a great outdoor area to sit outside and while it was busy it still didn’t feel overwhelming. The ice cream was delicious and worth the wait. If you’re looking for a good local spot look no further!

    Golden sweets has delicious ice-cream and chocolate. We stopped here for a quick sweet treat and for some chocolate souvenirs and we were not disappointed. It was so good!

    Ice cream was very meh…we tried 4-5 different flavors and they were kind of disappointing. For example, the s’mores ice cream basically was vanilla ice cream with some small chocolate chips, that’s all I tasted. Seems like this shop gets by based on being in a good location.

    I have never written a negative review before, but I just had a terrible experience at Golden Sweets. Came with my two kiddos- we each ordered one scoop. After I paid, they told me that one of the ice cream flavors I ordered was a little soft and asked to put it in a cup. I said sure- but the ice cream they handed me was literally half melted. I tried it, and it was not right. It tasted off. The texture was terrible. There was a pool of liquid and foam already in the cup. I told the woman behind the counter that it wasn't good, and she told me that it had been in the freezer over night and that sometimes newly opened containers are like that- and that it wasn't something she could control. She was incredibly dismissive and rude. I've never been served melted ice cream before, and frankly - my expectation was to be offered either a refund or replacement. The ice cream wasn't edible, but the rudeness was unacceptable. I live in the area, and I won't be returning. Worst experience I've had in Golden.
