The Story
The scent of fresh coffee and griddled pancakes always feels like coming home the moment you step through the door. Laughter and the clinking of spoons against ceramic fill the air, a familiar comfort in this cozy, bustling spot. A frosty malt from the old-fashioned soda fountain makes any afternoon feel like a sweet, simple pleasure.

Had breakfast with my wife and dad. Yum, the chicken fried steak was tasty. The service was top notch. Cozy atmosphere. Nice time with family!

The place is like a Grandma’s kitchen. I had a Veggi omelet with hash brown and an English muffin. For drinks, I had my own herbal tea with hot water. In the morning I had a fasting lab work so after that I wanted something simple and healthy so I decided to go here and I loved the food. The food was like homemade. The servers were simple and nice, In their busy time, they were checking on me if I needed anything.

The hot beef sandwich was huge and the best I have tasted. I am 78 years old, so I have tasted a lot in my time. It was seasoned perfect. Then we ordered a piece of pie with ice cream. Huge piece, and she heated the pie. The best meal in Rochester.

Grandma's kitchen is an excellent go to especially for breakfast. Our server was named Mary and she has worked there twenty years and is just as spry as her first day, probably. Everything was hot and prepared to order! Coffee and water was endless this finalized my stay at Mayo clinic and it was a great way to depart the city. I love supporting local small business.
