What an ice cream paradise, let me tell you!!! This place is a true Chicagoland institution. It’s the kind of old fashioned ice cream shop that brings back memories every time you visit. I’ve been coming here since I was in high school, and I just stopped by again at 34 on my drive home. Some places never change, and that’s a good thing. Now enough about me. Let’s talk about the ice cream! Everything is homemade, and you can definitely taste the difference. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and smiling, which makes the experience even better. They always have chocolate, vanilla, and a flavor of the day. Whether you want to try something different like carrot cake or stick with a classic like pistachio, there’s something for everyone. It’s easy to see why this place has been featured on several Chicago news stations. The quality has stayed the same for years, and that’s hard to find these days. My personal favorite: Pistachio. Every other Friday. Trust me, it’s worth planning your visit around.

One of the best reasons to live in or near Mundelein is Greg’s Frozen Custard!! Their Flavor of the Day is something to pay attention. Love their new chocolate dipped waffle cones! Next time I have to try their new Frosted Nuts! And it’s definitely worth joining their new rewards program!

Greg’s is the best! I came here last weekend with my sisters and boyfriend and had the best time. The place was packed, but that just proves how good it is😁 Treats ordered: Elvis mini (absolute perfection!) Cherry Bon Bon (boyfriend approved) Cherries & Cream & Turtle Fudge (sisters loved them) Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Mundelein!
