Cute shop with lots of old fashioned candy and other treats. They have plenty of nostalgia inducing toys and gifts. It’s a great place to buy stocking stuffers for seniors and little kids. Also, I’m sure you will find a good variety of gag gifts as well. When it’s cold outside and you want something warm to drink, step right on in here. They have a delicious hot chocolate! A warm days you can grab a scoop of ice cream. A great place to shop. As with most tourist souvenir shops, it’s small and crowded so be patient. The employees are always kind.

The Gruene General Store is fabulous filled with wonderful gourmet food. Fantastic selection of Coffee, Chocolate, Ice Cream. Fudge, old fashioned candies. You don't know where to look first such an amazing store filled with unique gifts. The Customer Service was wonderful very helpful and friendly.

I've been coming to the store for decades. Every time we have visitors or guests from out of state or out of country I always bring them to this wonderful store, my favorite place in Gruene. The only thing that makes me sad about this is they used to carry a bumper sticker that I can't find anywhere online and now that my car has been repainted, I don't know where to get it. It said "on Earth as it is in Texas" but unlike every other bumper sticker I've seen, it had a red and black background with the outline of the Texas landscape. Wish I could get that again!
