Hansel and Gretel Candy Kitchen is one of those places that instantly grabs your attention while walking through Helen. The colorful storefront and sweet aroma coming from inside make it really hard to just pass by. Once you step in, it feels like a classic old style candy shop with shelves full of fudge, caramel apples, chocolates, and all kinds of treats. Watching them prepare fresh fudge right there adds to the experience, and everything looks very tempting. As a vegetarian, most of the options here work well, especially the fudge and chocolate based treats. The flavors feel rich and fresh, and you can tell they are made in small batches rather than mass produced. It is more of a quick stop rather than a place to sit, but definitely worth it if you are in the mood for something sweet. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality and freshness make up for it. Parking is the same as the rest of Helen, so you will likely use nearby paid lots and walk over. It is manageable but plan a few extra minutes during busy times. No reservations needed at all, just walk in and pick what you like. It can get crowded, especially on weekends, but the line usually moves quickly. One tip, try to go for freshly made fudge if available instead of pre packed items. The taste difference is noticeable. Overall, it is a fun and nostalgic stop that adds a sweet touch to your visit in Helen.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hansel & Gretel Candy Kitchen is, without a doubt, the best candy store in Helen! We make it a tradition to stop here every winter, and we always leave with a box of their incredible truffles, a caramel apple, and a candy apple. Everything is consistently fresh, delicious, and made with care. The staff is always so friendly, welcoming, and happy to help, which makes every visit even better. This was actually our first time visiting during the summer, and I’m happy to say the experience was just as amazing as it has always been during our winter trips. The quality, service, and treats were just as outstanding. If you’re visiting Helen, Hansel & Gretel Candy Kitchen is an absolute must-stop. We can’t wait for our next visit!

This shop is a must stop if you're in Helen. The atmosphere is so cozy and the sweet smell of chocolate surrounds you. There is plenty of variety to choose from, from fudge to truffles to candy apples and everything in between. Everything we got was delicious.

Lots of chocolate and fudge options. I tried the truffles and the orange creamsicle fudge. All very tasty. Friendly staff! It is a bit pricey but good quality.
