  If you’re anywhere near Federal Hill and craving something sweet, Hershey’s Ice Cream on Light Street is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with that classic, nostalgic ice‑cream‑parlor vibe — bright, clean, and instantly comforting. The staff are genuinely friendly, patient, and always ready to help you pick the perfect flavor (even if you’re like me and sample half the menu first). The ice cream itself is the star: rich, creamy, and full of flavor in a way that reminds you why Hershey’s has been loved for generations. Whether it’s the Cookie Dough, Butter Pecan, or their ridiculously good Milkshakes, everything tastes fresh and made with care. Portions are generous too — you definitely get your money’s worth.

  Hit the spot! Absolute 10/10!You’re gonna find a lot of reviews on ice cream spots bc, well, I’m a sucker for ice cream. We just left Camden Yards after seeing an O’s game and wanted a sweet treat before heading home. This was the closest place that had Hershey ice cream. And it was delicious. They boast 60 different flavors on their sign. By my count there were at least 48 different ice creams, and loads of toppings. Three different types of cones, sundaes, banana splits and ice cream sandwiches as well as malts, shakes, floats, soft serve and hand dipped, gelati, Italian ice, (2) sherbet, (2) sugar free varieties, (2) dairy free varieties and some locally inspired varieties like The Chesapeake Chill, The Inner Harbor Hurricane, and several others so it probably was nearbout 60. I had my usual 2 scoops in a cup and the hubs had a waffle cone with strawberry cheesecake and dark chocolate raspberry truffle. The price was very reasonable. We don’t normally tip but we did today bc we had such fantastic service and the place was, well, spotless. And I mean everything…the counters, the glass cases, the floor, the bathroom…absolutely everything. I’m pretty sure it’s the cleanest eatery I’ve ever been in and I have a feeling the guy responsible for this level of clean is the same guy who gave us top notch service today and his name was Izzy. The level of care that he took in scooping the ice cream and making sure he didn’t break the waffle cone was above and beyond. This guy deserves a raise for sure. The store was pretty much rectangular shaped with several table and stools that ran almost the length of the store for those who wanted to sit and eat. There was also a lil bench outside to sit on. But I favorite part was the “Make Someone Smile” chalkboard and the mural painted on the wall. Shout to Izzy for making our visit the very best it could be. Side note, we also gotten ice cream from their sister store in Fells Point. It was equally as delicious in that location!

  We had the most wonderful experience at this ice cream shop! I visited with my kids, and from the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful, especially while my kids took their time deciding between all the amazing flavors! Speaking of flavors…The variety is fantastic, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality in every scoop. There’s something for everyone, whether you love classic favorites or want to try something a little more unique. The atmosphere was fun and family-friendly, which made it the perfect spot for a little treat and some special time together. My kids are already asking when we can go back! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great ice cream and even better service. We’ll definitely be returning soon!
