I love to eat here, the special is always lovely, delicious and affordable. The service is friendly and personable and the atmosphere is warm and interesting show casing memorabilia from its opening in 1870s. The same pictures, advertisements, appliances and surroundings are the same as my husband grew up with and he left in 1978 for the Coast Guard. We have returned to this friendly community.

A great small town Cafe 👌 Great food, great service and being able to sit outside in the NM breeze is fabulous. Them serving breakfast all day is a huge bonus! The millshakes are amazing as well. Highly recommend this place and explore the whole town especially the Black Range Museum...was a FANTASTIC day! *** Went back again today (June 19) and had an AMAZING lunch(an all day breakfast). Super nice staff and the sweetest waitress around! 😍 A must stop if you're anywhere near Hillsboro!👌

Fantastic food every time, especially if you go on the weekends and get the breakfast/lunch specials. Tons of interesting old stuff inside to look at while you eat and the staff is attentive and nice!

The historical component of this small town restaurant is pretty neat. A doctor's office and pharmacy to general store to restaurant. You can feel it and smell it. The food was ok. This is New Mexican food so adjust expectations. I got a burrito but it looks more like an enchilada. They take credit cards. Overall a good experience. The service was great.
