I first heard about Holsten’s while scrolling through Instagram. One look at the photos and I immediately added it to my bucket list. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, grabbed a seat at the counter, and ordered the brownie sundae with vanilla peanut butter cup ice cream. It was exactly the kind of nostalgic dessert that makes you feel like a kid again. They’re also open late and serve burgers, fries, sandwiches, and all the classic diner favorites. Lot of heart and history in this tiny joint!! The service is great, and the ice cream even better. I need to sit down for a burger of BLT soon. I had a sundae, it was delicious. I love the ice cream here. Classic spot with a booth dedicated to the iconic Sopranos. A staple for any tourist who has seen the show, come get some ice cream here and you won't be disappointed!! Old school diner. We visited to experience their Vanilla Milkshake and Ice cream Soda on their National Day 😁 Both were delicious. The food was okay, nothing exceptional. Staff was attentive. Street parking.

One of my favorite places in New Jersey. The ice cream is amazing. Tons of flavors, and can get in a cone, cup, or a Sunday. They also have pretty decent food. Hamburgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, fries, onion rings, that kind of stuff. They have tables and a counter. Place can get full on a weekend or holiday. Parking is in the back. Brandon is always kind and attentive when waiting on customers.
