I got a 1 scoop of butter pecan and 1 scoop of banana foster on a waffle cone. So delicious! You can definitely tell it’s the real deal, all made fresh. The cone was as good as the ice cream. I couldn’t tell you what part/flavor was best. If I went back I’d get the exact same combo.

I’ve been supporting Hoodoo since they were at the Covington Farmer’s Market and bought pints throughout COVID. Their ice cream is comparable to Haagen Dazs and plenty other high quality ice cream. It is unbeatable for a small business ice cream shop—they make their own ice cream from scratch using local ingredients. I absolutely love their regular flavors, and even their special flavors or dairy-free options. When they make seasonal flavors, it is always a must try. I struggle choosing what I want each visit because they’ve done everything I’ve ordered right. The malts? Heart-eye emoji. The cone? Irresistible. It’s made fresh to order and smells so good when you walk in. I like to get an extra cone to-go and make crumbled toppings out of it for the pints I take home. I’ve even had their ice cream cake! Tips: Try a combination of banana foster with chocolate or strawberry with creole cream cheese. Or if you’re like me, Neapolitan shake. It’s just all THAT good. Can’t wait until they bring back rocky road or coconut almond chocolate chip (dairy-free).

If we could leave a 10 star, we would. They opened a tad after normal because of a 'no show' however, the owner came in to cover, opened up and was so apologetic and accommodating. The ice cream is out of this world and fresh made waffle cones are Amazing. We love coming here and will definitely keep coming back. Fresh homemade ice cream and cones, not to mention the best tasting malts too. Yum! Sorry someone felt compelled to give a 1 star because your staff didnt show...not a reflection on your treats!

In NOLA and drove out of our way to visit your shop because we love trying unique flavors of ice cream. We were sad to see only traditional ice cream flavors available and settled for a scoop of cookies and cream. I realize we visited mid week on a Wednesday but we were pretty bummed after reading so many good reviews 😞 Not sure if the standard flavors are homemade but the cookies and cream tasted pretty average to be honest. If you're considering a visit, you may consider calling ahead to see what flavors are available.
