The Story

One of the last independent drug stores in downtown Athens, Horton’s keeps the old-fashioned counter feel alive amid the college crowd — cold fountain drinks, a little lunch, and no rush.

    Called as a new customer and they said they didn’t have a prescription on hand that all of the last 3 pharmacies I’ve used did. Then said that for both of my prescriptions they didn’t know when they would come in, “it could be 2 weeks or it could be 2 months.” How is that kind of uncertainty tolerated in a pharmacy?

    They are awesome! I couldn't get one of my pain medications ANYWHERE and then I called Hortons. Now all of my pain medications have been transferred there. The staff is super friendly and fast. So thankful I found them!
