The Story

Stepping into Joe's Ice Cream Parlor, the scent of waffle cones and sweet cream immediately whisked you back to simpler times. Bright red booths and checkered floors hummed with happy chatter as folks enjoyed towering sundaes and classic scoops. It was the kind of place where every lick of your treat tasted like a perfectly sweet summer afternoon in Easley.

Awful! Very sad this place has been here for years but they've let it go down hill. The chili on my dog looked like throw up after an hour of leaving I threw up a lot! The kitchen was nasty, the walls had grease caked up on it. Ceiling was leaking, every table was dirty and old. The corndogs came out almost black which told me they cooked them in old grease (degraded oil, used over and over). The French fries were the worst. They were old tasting, stale (meaning because the oil was already old it caused flavor to decrease also meaning the fries were possibly freezer burnt is why they were stale and flavorless). I asked about the fries the waiter told me they were fresh fries! Then said they pulled them straight from the freezer and drop them in oil! That's not fresh! Very poor quality food, management was bad they never came to check on my concerns and service was bad, they stood around talking to each other never came to refill drinks or see if things were going good. I would never go here again! I've let my connections know to not go here, please don't step foot into this place they should be shut down for how nasty the restaurant is! I'd be ashamed to serve people here! There were roaches crawling on the walls, place is a mess.

Came here with my family for the first time. Ordered two hot dog plates, a burger plate, a banana split and a single ice cream. The lady that served us was the daughter of Joe - who was the original owner and name of the place and has passed away. She was so sweet. She knew many customers by name. We really love the mom and pop shop vibe here and the food was delicious and affordable! Will for sure return!

Literally nasty they don’t know how to season their food, chili is disgusting, fries are stale. The literal embodiment of old people food. Nasty, flavorless, stale, and never fresh. Every time my family gets food from this forsaken place it’s always cold and they never listen when asked to put something as simple as extra cheese like on their chill cheese fries it’s all chili and soggy stale fries with a tiny pinch of cheese. I do not recommend this place even if it’s an older staple in the community they’ve fell off over the past eight ish years. Don’t waste your time nor money here

I drove to Easley to check on my niece and help her at her new apartment. After taking care of errands she suggested we grab a bite to eat at Joe's. I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a large chef salad with all meats. It was $10. I had blue cheese dressing with it. The dressings aren't made in house. They are prepackaged, but still a good quality dressing. The service was stellar. I'm giving them 5 stars because for the type of restaurant, it is deserved. This may not be a high caliber sit-down restaurant, but it is an outstanding diner. A true gem located on Main Street in Easley, SC.
