  It’s hard not to be happy when you walk in to Kilwins. Mostly, because you have a child or a grandchild in tow. When you enter, you are immediately greeted by the smell of sweet, ice cream and chocolate. They do a nice job with the oversize scoops of ice cream in the cups and in the handmade waffle cones. If you’re over 60 or lactose intolerant, you’re probably not buying the ice cream for yourself. Most likely you’re gonna be handing it off to a grandchild or a loved one. That’ll put a smile on their face. However, as soon as you see the total for your purchase, you’ll stop smiling, but when you look down and see how happy they are, you’ll start smiling again.   The chocolates are so, so good! I got an irish cream and an almond truffle bonbons, and I'll definitely come back for more. Hubby had smore ice cream and said it was delicious.
