Every single time I’m in New Orleans, I HAVE to stop by Kilwins. And honestly? I’m going specifically for the caramel pecan apples 😂 Funny enough, I didn’t even know this place existed until one of my best friends, Lori, introduced me to it during a New Edition concert trip. We checked into the hotel and she got SO excited because there was a Kilwins right next door. She immediately told me, “Girl, you HAVE to try these apples.” The way she described them, I already knew I was about to be hooked… and baby, after the first bite? It was OVER 😂 These are not your average candy apples at all. The green apple is crisp, fresh, and has just the right amount of tartness to balance all the sweetness from the caramel. And those pecans?? Absolutely perfect. The crunch mixed with that rich, buttery caramel is just chef’s kiss. The caramel is thick, decadent, and smooth without being overly sticky or hard to bite into. Everything about it feels fresh and high quality. Kilwins overall has a really fun atmosphere too. They have ice cream, fudge, pralines, chocolates, and all kinds of sweet treats, but those caramel pecan apples are THE reason I keep coming back. And yes… I usually leave with two. One for now and one for later 😂 Definitely one of my favorite sweet treat stops in New Orleans.

We stopped at Kelvin’s Ice Cream on Decatur Street during our New Orleans trip and absolutely enjoyed the treats. We tried the chocolate fudge and chocolate mint scoops — both were rich, creamy, and full of flavor, perfect for a sweet break while exploring downtown. The shop has a fun, casual vibe right in the heart of the French Quarter, making it easy to pop in while walking around. Service was friendly and the portions were generous. Definitely a great stop if you’re craving quality ice cream after sightseeing!

Kilwins is the best!! This Kilwins in New Orleans, located in the French Quarter near Jackson Square represents the brand with its premium, hand-crafted ice cream, fudge, and caramel apples. Kilwins is a must-stop, wherever we go!!
