The Story
Krisch's sits on Central Avenue with a counter, a candy case and a menu that has changed only in price. The sundaes come oversized, the egg creams come cold, and the whole room smells faintly of waffle cone.

While finishing lunch elsewhere, our server recommended this location for dessert; homemade fresh ice cream is what we found for our first visit! Forgot to take pics but I ordered a two scoop banana split (rocky road and birthday cake flavors) with house made whip cream and my topping was walnuts in a simple syrup- Boom! My better half had the brownie base with hot fudge one scoop of rice crispy treat also with whip cream- Tada! We sat at the diner counter with a friendly young staff and Chloe was so patient explaining flavors and her personal choices that she gave us a cozy friendly experience. We will return! Breakfast served all day, yes, lots of pages to choose from, and a food challenge. A two-pound bacon cheeseburger with house made buns and waffle fries, so the catch is is if you can finish it under an hour, alone no help, it’s free with a T-shirt. I’m gonna try that next time and if I can’t finish up, it’s coming home, with some ice cream! Found out this 50’s style diner has been around since the 20’s who’d a thunk it, but oh it’s lasting strong with incredibly reasonable prices; don’t miss out, large family booth seating, table & chairs plus long counter with high top red soft chairs. You’ll want too to check the outdoor seating, tables and chairs available, so hope you enjoy like we did!

Ordered a cake for my sisters anniversary and it was a huge hit!! Everyone loved the hot fudge and whip cream with their ice cream and was the best part of the party. Krischs never disappoints!!

Came in for the first time to try ice cream. Made in house and it was quite good. Not sure about any of the food, didn’t try it. There weren’t prices, but my friend and I each asked for 2 scoops but prices weren’t disclosed. I was surprised when the bill was $26 and to be fair it was a TON of ice cream but way too much, it was more like 4 scoops. Definitely just ask for one scoop as it was a lot of ice cream. The place itself is cute and vintage, but I’m not sure if I’d return.
