The Story
The warm scent of maple syrup and coffee always welcomed folks in from the bustling city streets. Inside, the friendly chatter and the clatter of plates felt like a comforting embrace, a timeless piece of Americana. Piles of fluffy pancakes and perfectly cooked eggs were served with a smile, making every visit a cozy, delicious start to the day.

Cute place!! The food and service were excellent. The only thing is that I wish they had drink prices listed on the refrigerator. Overall an awesome time eating here.

Quick service, friendly staff, good food. This place is right next to ford’s theater which directs a lot of tourist coming through so be prepared to wait as seating is limited. No free water fyi but they sell bottles for $1.

Everyone referring to this as a hidden gem and it really is. We always make sure to stop here when working in DC. It’s become our ritual and it was actually my first experience of the “American breakfast”. Proper local institution with a bustling atmosphere, fantastic service and humble, no-frills, tasty grub! On occasions the food has been a little too greasy at times but it hasn’t stopped me visiting. Will always be on our list when in DC

This is an all American style dinner tended by mostly Asians, service and food was subpar. There was no efficient air conditioning hence place was very warm. We went with high expectations but we were let down, because the lacking of service attention, I had to ask for coffee 4 times, and the average prepared food. My Chocolate Chip Waffle was dry, the top and bottom of it split. I ordered my waffle light cooked and arrived over cooked, as many others I saw around. There are so any other places around in DC metro that I will not patronize this establishment again. A disappointing dining experience.
