The Story

The sweet scent of waffle cones drifted out onto Main Street, beckoning folks into lu•lu's cozy, retro-styled parlor. Inside, checkerboard floors and bright neon signs framed a delightful array of colorful scoops, each one a little taste of homemade happiness. Sitting on a red stool with a double dip in hand felt like stepping back into simpler times, a perfect Vergennes afternoon treat.

    What a great find! We stopped by Lulu Ice Cream while visiting Vergennes and had the flight with six flavors and every single one was delicious. It was a fun way to try a variety, and we honestly loved them all. It’s a family-owned business, and you can tell they really care about what they do. They even shared that they buy pasteurized cream and then pasteurize it again before making their ice cream, which was interesting to hear and showed the attention they give to their process. Friendly service, amazing ice cream, and definitely a place we’ll visit again!

    LOVED this scoop shop so much!!!! Nicest staff who proudly explained the amazing journey that vt milk makes en route to becoming the delicious ice cream that you will enjoy! They are so creative and use local ingredients! The flavor list is outrageous and I did a flight... 6 flavors!!!! Do not miss the basil!!!!! Very funny Tshirts, too. Enjoy!

    Absolutely need to go every time I'm in the area. I can't get over the basil ice cream, and I wish I could get it everywhere. Tastes like summer and joy. The place itself is gorgeous and clean. The flavors get more whimsical than just basil, let me tell you. Once I went and there was a whole Harry Potter theme. They let you sample so many flavors and are helpful in finding THE ONE. Wish I could eat basil ice cream every day...

    Oh My!! So delicious and creamy especially on a hot summer day! The shop is delightful with great swag! The chocolate was incredible! And the chocolate cup had lots of crunchy chips. So fun!! And my pup had a pup cup which she loved!
