Everyone should experience the nostalgia of enjoying a sweet treat at the counter of an old fashioned diner and soda fountain. Macaplines has been around since 1929 and hasn't lost a bit of it's charm. This would be a perfect date spot or a place to take the kids for a delicious cold treat on a hot summer day. If you're into vintage or antiques, you can also shop for a wide variety of interesting items. The pies are delightfully delicious as well as loads of dessert choices whether it be an egg cream, ice cream sundae or a old fashioned ice cream soda. I'm particularly fond of the sloppy joes.

Such a neat experience! this is my first time having a classic shake, so this was a fun time lol it was definitely enhanced by the fact that they use machines from the 40s! I think that is the coolest thing. I sat up at the bar and the service was really great. Overall, I really recommend this place. It can get a little crowded, but just be patient and enjoy yourself. also, don't forget to check out the antique store surrounding the dining room, i found some cool stuff.

Very cute! We went for dessert and got one shake and one float. Love how they give you the extra on the side, so my husband basically had 2 shakes! Staff was very nice and attentive and the place is adorable. We'll go back again to try the food.
