This is our go-to spot for ice cream whenever we're in Waikiki. During our 8-day trip, we ended up going 4 times… one time, we left due to the employees being on break. (More on that later.). Our favorite flavors are ube, coffee, cheesecake, and pandan. So good!! On our third visit, we tried the ube with cookies and cream. It was tasty, but I felt the cookies and cream flavor overpowered the ube a bit. If you like the cookie flavor more than the ube, try this!! The two younger employees who work there are always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. That said, it seemed like the shop was a bit understaffed. There was often only one employee working the front despite moderate to heavy customer traffic. We also noticed a few occasions when a sign indicated the staff was on break, so the store was temporarily closed. At one point, I counted at least 10 potential customers passing by and tugging on the locked door in less than 5 minutes… that could’ve been more money for the business. Otherwise, great ice cream and satisfactory customer service! .

2 years ago, I didn’t give this restaurant a good review. Yesterday, after arriving from Canada, I went to Marketplace Waikiki looking for dessert and noticed Magnolia’s happy hour halo-halo. I decided to give it another try, and I’m glad I did. My order looked exactly like the picture on the sign/menu display, which made me very happy. It was super delicious even with no leche flan, not overly sweet, and all the ingredients tasted fresh. Definitely a much better experience this time!

Came in multiple times across 3 days around 6 pm from thursday to saturday, no problems seating eat time and was almost always able to get my order taken and done immediately I ordered almost all the halo-halo variations and they were all delicious, very nicely made Service was excellent, staff was friendly and flexible Atmosphere was great, very relaxed, simple and clean

Lacks Ohana Spirit: very long wait & staff can work on being friendlier. it felt very awkward to be skipped and not acknowledged at any point in the process, staff also didn’t know what snow cap was which is weird in Hawaii. The shave ice was good in taste and presentation. Good prices too.
