    It was very tasty and the service was great. Maybe the waitress can talk a little bit slower and louder. So foreign tourist can understand you better because of the music there is a high background noise level. Why only 4 stars? It is because of the payment… we live in 2026 and they don’t accept Apple Pay or Amex that’s not necessary in those times … But the sandwiches were great!

    Every Christmas we like to treat mom with a visit to a nearby “quaint” town and dinner. After searching for the best place for food and experience in Hendersonville, we ended up at Mike’s on Main. It was like stepping back to an era I never got to experience but could only imagine. You don’t need a Delorian or 1.21 jigawatts to get to go back to the 50’s, just walk through the doors of the best sandwich shop in town!     Decor 10/10 awesome for a soda shop. Food 8/10 pretty good. Service 6/10 me and a friend both wanted banana splits but they only had one banana. Also I was enjoying a bag of chips and hotdog, then all of a sudden a waiter comes and takes our plates without even asking. Overall pretty good food and decor the improvement that should be made is have things in stock and train your waiters to ask first. 4/5 stars

    We were looking for a sandwich shop in between thrift store shopping . We found this gem. Great food. So much history here. Fun antiques on display. Great staff.
