  This is my first Milk Bar experience. We stopped in during my annual migration home. For nearly $40, we built a pint, got the infamous "crack pie" (known as Milk Bar Pie now), and 3 different cookies. I watched the Chef's Table episode about Tosi when it first aired but no one's ever wanted to go until now. My hubs has a serious sweet tooth and they don't have Milk Bar where he's from. TLDR: I hated everything. And, that's not a word I use lightly. I'm sorry, y'all. Every single item was so disgustingly sweet. You couldn't even taste the crust on the pie, or the mix-ins in the "fresh" unpackaged cookies, or any dimension in the stacked pint of cereal milk soft serve (which tastes like granulated white sugar and an excess of malted milk powder, with other synthetic flavors)--just that disturbingly syrupy, tingly feeling in the back of your throat. Sure, I could tell when I got a bite of soft-serve vs. jam vs. cookie, but they all had the same flavor profile--SWEET. I don't know how else to describe it. Somehow, everything had the same texture, tasted AND smelled of chemicals, and was so overloaded with sugar that we both felt sick. Hello, DIABETES. We both had a bite or two of each item (normal for us) but this time we tossed the rest in the trash. I'm so sorry to the friendly staff that was working on 05/07. It's not their fault we didn't like what we got. The recipes come from higher up. I definitely like more savory foods, but I can appreciate well-made desserts. This was not it. There was no artistry. It's like Chips Ahoy/Blue Bunny ice cream with 10x the amount of sugar, and zero character. The only positive is that everything was nicely presented. I would never choose to end my dinner here again. I don't understand the hype. I don't even understand coming here for one, little truffle. We got such a varied array of "treats" that I feel we experienced everything that was necessary to make reasonable judgement. You don't have to take my word for it, but trust the guy that loves sweets!

  This place is absolutely amazing! I came in on a diet and I absolutely wasn’t successful. Everything here tastes amazing and the people working here are incredible. They were very helpful, informative, and really took their time in explaining the items on the menu. And I asked alot of questions. 10 out of 10!!!

  Had a bunch of stuff here over a couple trips and I really like their cake balls especially their birthday cake balls! I got these on a flight once (I think it’s called Birthday Truffle Crumb Cakes) and I have been craving them since. It’s like the perfect post meal dessert.

  It’s been a minute since I went to the @milkbarstore and when I heard they had eggnog cookies, I immediately jumped in the car. Unfortunately, they were sold out when I went but the oatmeal cream cookie quickly erased my disappointment. It’s very rare that you can find an oatmeal cookie without raisins and I was amped that they tasted as good as they looked. To wash it down, I ordered the caramel latte. It was the perfect compliment to the sweetness of the cookie. FYI, believe the hot warning on the coffee sleeve, it’s definitely a justified warning. There are several free parking spaces in front of the store which is very rare for this part of the city.
