  The only reason I’m writing this, is because I can’t believe there are so many 5 star reviews. There’s no way. I went in expecting handmade ice cream and left wondering how this place has the reputation it does. The ice cream was genuinely bad. Not just “not my favorite.” Bad. It tasted like freezer burned Great Value ice cream, and the texture did not taste fresh or premium at all. We threw it away. There looked to be six flavors available when we went, which is already disappointing for an ice cream shop, but it would have been less of an issue if the flavors were actually good. They weren’t. The pricing made it worse. For what they charge, I expected something mouth watering. Instead, it felt overpriced, overhyped, and lower quality than something I could buy from a grocery store freezer. The service was also uncomfortable. The owner guy was yelling at us “three scoops” every time we said one. Awkward. The owner’s replies to the criticism on here speak for themselves. They come across less like professional customer service and more like someone experiencing feedback as an ego threat, and then attempting to reframe the customer as the problem.

  The owner is amazing, the ice cream is delicious, and the atmosphere is one of the best I have experienced in quite awhile. Looking for an old fashioned banana split? Get it here! You can even text your order in! It’s an amazing place and you will NOT regret it!

  Oh man this place is SO GOOD. I had the honeycomb flavor, which is even way better than it already sounds. The honey is a caramel consistency that perfectly complements the vanilla. Definitely give this place a try.

  If you are not smiling when you are eating ice cream, something's wrong. I had such a surprising and frustrating experience at Mo Berries Ice Cream that it really didn't matter what the ice cream tasted like, or that it was given to us for free as an apology. We made a special trip and were excited to meet the owner and experience the shop on a Monday and we mistakenly understood pies would be available that day. Our main objective was to have New Zealand meat pies for dinner with ice cream for dessert. Well, it's a one-man show and things didn't work out for the pies on the Monday we visited. A little disappointing, but no big deal. We asked when they might be available and the owner mentioned we could get on a list to be notified if he makes them. The surprising part of the whole interaction was that as we were discussing what was available things were getting more and more tense, to the point was starting to feel like an argument. I felt like we were trying to talk the owner down but it wasn't working. In the end, we accepted our free ice cream and left feeling frustrated and confused. So, for new visitors, I would say go ahead and check it out. With a few caveats: 1) Don't make a special trip to the store, as it is a one-man show and might not be open when you arrive. No big deal for a walk-by visitor, but kind of a big deal if your plans include three different vehicles driving 30 minutes from different parts of town to get there. We waited in front of the shop for 30 minutes because a "back in 15" sign was in the door. When my son called the store number to see if they were going to reopen, the owner came up from the back and unlocked the door without opening to say "Come on in" or anything. It felt weird already. 2) Don't plan on getting anything you might see on the menu before you arrive. You'll need to walk into the store and see what they have. If it's something you want, then you have been blessed. 3) Most importantly - if they don't have something you were hoping for, keep it to yourself. In our experience, any expression of dissatisfaction will be met with hostility. We were not promised pies or anything. We were simply excited. In an ironic twist, our excitement to visit and support this shop was received by the owner as pressure and rudeness. Certainly not our intent. After our visit my son, who organized the meeting, was so frustrated by the treatment he posted his first one-star review ever. As I'm seeing is the standard practice with this shop, he received a very negative reply from the owner that got subsequently edited to make it sound even worse. So my wife took offense and posted her own review explaining how she felt about what happened. The owner decided to go ahead and attack her character too. As I've gone back and looked at previous one-star reviews, I see he always comes back with a personal attack on character. It's never about the customer's experience or his company's product. So, here we are with me posting my very first one-star review. I expect to be called rude and entitled. Maybe a snowflake. Maybe even a bad father. As for the ice cream? No idea what it tasted like. But our visit was awful. Advice: read the one-star reviews for this shop and read the owner's replies before making your decision.
