we agree with some other reviews we saw - the owner was not happy that we were there AT ALL. he wasn’t outright mean but the vibe was very unwelcoming. I recommend you just go to the chocolate shop, it’s cheaper for bigger portions and better ice cream in my opinion. if you’re gonna run an ice cream shop I suggest you at least fake a better attitude, it really put a bad taste in our mouths which is so sad cause we have great memories from our childhood.

We came to the little park and saw this ice cream place and I was happy to buy one so when I ordered and wanting to pay they said no card only cash and rapidly directed me to the ATM I paid only for one ice cream cone $7. Plus what the atm charged me 3.00 to take out cash total $10 sucks they should put a sign saying only cash. My ice cream was melting trying to take out the money.

My kiddo and I went in for what we thought would be a quick lunch of ice cream and hot dogs on a summer weekday. We intentionally ordered food that would be quick because we had to get somewhere. No line, no one else waiting for food, and somehow it took 40 minutes to get 2 hot dogs. It looked like the person in the kitchen was preparing a 4 course meal, I have no idea what was going on back there with all the chopping and frying. By the time we finally got the hot dogs we were full up on ice cream and took the hot dogs home and ate them cold later. No one batted an eye, as if that was the normal wait time for hot dogs. Plan accordingly.

Fantastic stop along Lake Monona. They had a nice selection of ice cream and a cool atmosphere. Our dog loved the pup cup. Prices for ice cream are high, but you're paying for the experience and location. Will definitely be back and with cash next time to avoid the ATM fee.
