The Story
First Street in La Conner is all wooden storefronts and tulip-season crowds, and O'Neils gives them candy made on site plus a fountain pouring sodas and sundaes. Take it out to the Swinomish Channel.

Absolutely love every little part of this gem. The decor and ephemera is nostalgic, lovingly curated, and some is downright beautiful. I can’t imagine how much time it must have taken to curate. I’m so happy to have discovered this place and can’t wait to come back for many years to come! There’s ice cream, in house candies, coffee, espresso, sandwiches, pizza, and a fun quirky candy store in the back. Lots of places to sit and the vibe is great. Make sure to put a quarter in the player piano! I can’t wait to come back in the summer to spend time in the charming backyard courtyard.

We have loved the decor, salt water taffy, and chocolate fudge here, but had never tried the pizza. Finally did today, and it was terrific. Great crust (dough had excellent flavor), sauce, and toppings. Good list of beers on tap. And we learned that the back opens out to the Hotel Planter courtyard, a perfect place for lunch on this sunny Saturday. We definitely see more of their pizzas in our future!!

Beautiful vintage soda fountain, espresso bar, confectionary and cafe serving pizza (including a gluten free cauliflower crust option), hotdogs, ice cream treats from scoops and shakes to phosphates and even +21 liqueur flavors. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean, cheerful ambiance. Find your favorite childhood candies or indulge in homemade fudge, taffy, chocolate covered espresso beans or choose from hundreds of other quality treats. Gorgeous courtyard lounge out back and several tables and booths inside. Street parking available with a block or so and main street is very strollable. Make a day out of a visit to La Conner - just 6 miles off I5, this tiny waterfront town will charm weary travelers.
