We savored our treats on the lively outdoor patio, watching the world drift by under the friendly Sioux Falls sky.

One of the best breakfast places I’ve been to, I was in between here and another spot but I’m glad I chose this spot. The waiter was very nice and patient as I didn’t know what to get, I order a mocha cappuccino, chicken and waffles, and breakfast fries. Everything was a 10/10 the coffee was not too sweet bitter. The chicken was juicy and fresh and the waffles were soft and sweet. As for the fries I think that was my favorite meal the fries were very fresh so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, I didn’t think the egg would work here but I was wrong it made the dish have more flavor than it already did. 10/10 food and 10/10 service highly recommend if you’re in town.

We visited Phillips Avenue Diner for breakfast on a Sunday, and it’s in a perfect location right downtown. It was just a short walking distance from our hotel, which was super convenient. When we arrived, it was packed (we think a church service had just gotten out), so we ended up waiting about 30–40 minutes for a table. We didn’t mind the wait, though. The diner is on the smaller side, which fits its old-school charm. While we waited, we took advantage of the nearby shops and did a little shopping. The only thing we wished for was a system where you could leave a phone number and get a text when your table is ready. For food, my husband ordered the Bronco omelet, which came with hashbrowns and toast. One small touch I would’ve loved is homemade jam or jelly for the toast, like we have at our hometown diner. I ordered hashbrowns, bacon, eggs, and toast, along with an iced chai tea latte. The chai was so good I ended up ordering a second one. It’s rare that I find one I like that much! Service was a little on the slower side, which was to be expected since every table was full, but the food was really good overall. We really enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend it. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area; just plan ahead if you’re going during peak hours!

Thoroughly enjoyed eating here. Staff is pleasant, clean tables, clean restroom. Our waitress was so sweet, very accommodating. Highly recommend!

This will be my go-to breakfast spot when I am in town. I loved the chicken and waffles so much, I came back the next morning to try the banana bread french toast, which were also amazing. Friendly staff and clean establishment. I HIGHLY recommend you go.
