Definitely worth the drive to Raymond for this amazing ice cream shop. Not only is the ice cream delicious, the owner is great. She welcomes everyone that comes into the shop and talks like your old friends. We had the mint fudge swirl sundae and butter pecan waffle cone. Took home a cinnamon roll and a Carmel green apple lotus drink. We will definitely be back. 10 out of 10.

Looking for good ice cream on way to St Louis, from Joliet area. A Google search led me here, a few miles off I-55, in Raymond IL. Perfect decision!! We will make this a new favorite stop going forward! Business owner lady was super sweet, friendly, welcoming. Cute place!! Love the decor and history. Her love of the Lord shows! Delicious treats! Great ice cream! I had rocky road and butter pecan. There are seasonal, fall favorite ice creams, shakes, apple pie ice cream, pumpkin, and about 10-12 ice cream flavors. We also bought some fabulously soft, fresh, frosted cinnamon rolls, so glad I got the three that were left!! The last one was still fresh two days later when my hubby finally got a taste! Obviously a local hit, based on frequency of visitors and conversations. Opens at 3p, check hours. Don't miss this place! I'll be back in a few weeks, and on every trip south! "Where neighbors become friends", great motto. Wish I'd taken pix of inside the shoppe, just got a couple of outside pix to show my kids where to go for great ice cream and cinnamon rolls! Apologies that the pictures don't do justice to this awesome adventure on my trek for treats!

Owner was awesome! Very friendly and even gave me an extra scoop. Portions were generous and the atmosphere was welcoming. Wide variety of flavors to choose from. Will definitely be returning soon and often!

The staff are always super friendly, helpful, and kind. Carmen, the owner, is even sweeter than her ice cream. The ice cream is always delicious and they always have new flavors to try. Im so excited they expanded to coffee as well, it's my favorite thing to get there! Carmen is one of my favorite people in the world. The ice cream is always delicious and she is one of kindest, gentlest souls Ive ever met. Poogans will always feel like home
